With regard to the fiscal cliff, Republicans should simply walk away from the process, leaving the Democrats to do with our dollars ANYTHING they wish.
Is this surrender? Is this raising the white flag?
Certainly not.
Rather, it is the realization that America is now a drug-dependent society; that drug being government handouts.
And, like ANY other form of addiction, the ONLY path to sobriety begins when the bottom has been reached.

Funny.....
Of course, I'm catching ALL kinds of flak from my Liberal friends, who are rolling their kill....
But, I have to admit....I find it kind of funny.
After all, these folks (most of whom live in California) are going to be paying at LEAST 2% MORE in their state income tax....because of their "win".
AND, they'll be paying MORE in other taxes in order to cover more public schooling.....because of their "win".
I have to wonder whether they'll be laughing while they collect unemployment....

On one hand, we have Susan Rice. Liberals everywhere are stating, without hesitation, that ANY words spoken against her, in ANY form, about her disastrous handling of the Benghazi situation, are racist as well as sexist.
On the OTHER hand, we have Mia Love, about whom THOSE SAME LIBERALS have remained silent when Love was called a "house nigger" and a "dirty, worthless whore".
Both are black.
Both are women.
Only ONE deemed worthy of defending: Rice.
Why?
Because she's a Liberal.

Sorry, folks, that I've been quite out of touch....haven't returned most emails, haven't written too much or commented on the news and events of the past few weeks....
Busy Holiday season, with one more month to go.
That said, I HAVE been thinking about this past election, and elections, in general.
Although I have not been able to read ALL of the post-election commentary, I've read enough to know that the pundits are wrong.
Variously, it's Romney's team's fault, it's ACORN's fault, it's the GOP's fault....I've even read a few opinions that it's STILL Bush's fault! Jeeeeeeez....
None of these are correct or accurate.
Let me ask a couple quick questions:
- When you set out to buy a car, do you just walk onto a car lot, listen to the pitch of a salesperson and make your decision from that?
- When you set out to buy insurance, do you watch a TV commercial, then make the call and sign up?
- When you set out to buy a house, do you simply listen to the real estate rep and make your decision that instant?
My guess, to all three questions, most folks' answer is "no". Of COURSE you don't just willy-nilly make the decision; ESPECIALLY when that decision is of HUGE import, such as a car or house or insurance.
If fact, I'd venture to guess that if you knew people who DID do do this kind of thing, you'd regard them as idiots. Suckers. Gullible. Stupid.
(I suspect you know where I'm going with this....)
Someone needs to explain to me how otherwise perfectly rational people....people who would NEVER be so stupid as to buy something without doing serious research...abandon ALL rationale when it comes to voting. PLEASE....explain this to me....
Politics, whether we like it or not, governs our lives. The people involved, the issues involved, govern our lives, govern our future, govern our safety and security and have the elected responsibility to protect our freedom and liberty.
Yet, FAR too many of us don't care enough to do the research; to gain the understanding necessary to make qualified decisions.
"It's boring". Yup, politics, to most, IS boring. So is doing the laundry. So is doing homework. So is cleaning the garage. So is picking up dog turds off your lawn. BUT, these things HAVE TO BE DONE, don't they? Boring or not. They have to be done.
"I HATE politics". So do I. I also hate going to the dentist. I also hate going to the doctor to have my prostate checked. I KNOW, now that I'm 50, that I'm going to HATE THAT doctor's visit!
But guess what? These things, hateful as they are, HAVE TO BE DONE, if I'm to maximize my health!
Understanding our political leaders and issues, boring as it may be, is ABSOLUTELY necessary, if we, Americans, want to maintain the health of our nation.
Baseball and football do NOT determine the health and security of our nation, yet voters know more about these things than they do about politicians and political issues.
"American Idol", "The Apprentice", and other such shows do not govern the future of our lives and our country, yet voters know more about the subtle "ins-and-outs" of these shows than they do about people and issues that do, directly, affect their lives.
Unfortunately, politics has become an infomercial. A sound byte.
And it all operates....successfully....on P.T. Barnum's principle that says "there's a sucker born every minute".
Folks, we get exactly the government we deserve. No more, no less. And if it is our choice NOT to do what is necessary; to arm ourselves with information before we vote, then we WILL lose our precious, sacred freedoms and our God-given unalienable rights.

WOW....
The news has called Obama the winner, and the Senate to remain in Democratic control.
Rather surprising. A well-fought race with a mandate, of sorts:
While the vote itself did not scream "mandate", the fact that, considering the current fiscal and foreign disasters, the fact that America chose to give Obama four more years DOES, in fact, state clearly that Americans want a Socialist system.
What I know for me is that my personal cost of living will continue to rise in terms of taxation, cost of goods and services, insurance, gas, etc. (This will be doubly so given that I live in California).
Two thoughts to close a disappointing day:
First: my personal fight will continue; against Liberalism, against corruption in government, FOR the unborn and FOR The Constitution.
Second: If I can quote Star Wars: "So this is how Liberty dies....with thunderous applause".
Folks, continue to pray for America: until it fails completely, it STILL is the last, greatest hope for the world.
