DOES LIFE BEGIN AT BIRTH?



This is an argument I hear often from Liberals. A fetus, they argue, is not “living” until after they are born. Indeed, in the article “After-birth abortion: why should the baby live?" (http://jme.bmj.com/content/early/2012/03/01/medethics-2011-100411.short)  in the Journal of Medical Ethics, authors Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva argued, even though life begins at birth, abortions should be legal until some time AFTER that point in time.

So, the question is this: DOES life begin at birth?

Because, if it DOES, then the act of abortion is a violation of our founding documents. (Remember that included in the documents that founded and defined our nation is The Declaration of Independence, which laid out the case for our separation from the crown.

And, in that document, it states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

“…that among these are Life…”.

The Declaration of Independence states, specifically, that we have a right to Life; a right to birth, a right to be born. And states, specifically, that this right transcends government, since it defines the right to be born as a right that is unalienable (NOT granted by government, but rather by our “Creator”….which is NOT government.)

I ask, constantly now, several questions that Liberal never get around to answering. I will now add these two:

“If our Declaration of Independence recognizes the unalienable right to life, doesn’t that mean that an unborn human being has a right to be born?”

And…

“Should abortion be legal AFTER birth? And, if not…WHY not?”


I eagerly await answers….

JANUARY 22ND, 2017

January 22nd marks the 44th anniversary of Roe v Wade, the decision that federalized the legalization of abortion law in the United States.


As of the completion of this writing (January  6th, 2017), the number of abortions in the United States stands at:
-       - 59,693,000 million since the Roe v Wade decision
-       - 2,800/day
-       ~ 300 by the time you finish reading this piece.


Democrats continue to lead the way in defending, protecting and expanding abortion law, while Republicans, much like the old Whig Party, continues to staunchly oppose Roe, while doing almost nothing to end this human rights abuse.

And make no mistake: abortion IS a human rights issue, abused, as it legally protects the right of one segment of humanity, women (already born), to murder another segment of humanity, unborn children. Democrats have decided, simply, that one segment of humanity (the unborn) has no rights and that another segment of humanity, males, have fewer rights than women.

But this is nothing new for Democrats, whose history is replete with human rights violations; from (pro) slavery to (anti) Suffrage to (anti) Civil Rights to (pro) embryonic stem cell research (and taxpayer funding of…) to (pro) abortion. Their record is unequivocal, and is consistent throughout American history, including today. In addition, Democrats (and Liberal, left-of-center, Republicans) are also defenders and expanders of ‘softer’ violations: Affirmative Action, “hate crime” legislation, etc.

Since November 8th, 2016, I’ve cautioned Conservatives (not Republicans….CONSERVATIVES) that the fight to restore America to its Constitutional principles has only begun. As Steve Bannon puts it: “We’re at the top of the first inning.” I exclude “Republicans” for one, simple reason: the GOP has become the “New Whig Party”, whose “staunch” opposition to abortion is rhetoric, only. If it comes to a real fight, they’ll side with Democrats or will sit on the sidelines, hoping that their non-action will save their Congressional seats. Count on it.

Count, also, on Democrats doing anything and everything, legal and illegal, to win. Remember that, in response to the possibility that slavery might be curtailed or ended, Democrats formed the Ku Klux Klan, in order to violently put down opposition, both black and white. Remember that theirs is an ideology which embraces the notion that the ends justify the means.

In the debate about abortion, which is a taboo topic (unless you are a supporter, of course), I’ve heard pretty much every argument; from “a woman’s right” to “mass of cells” to “viability of the fetus” to “pro-choice isn’t the same as pro-abortion” to “what would we do with all those children”. And, when I’ve heard these, I’ve responded with the same comments and questions. Interestingly, the questions always remain unanswered, as this is precisely when the subject becomes taboo (or I get called names…)

The truth is: I really want to know how pro-abortion advocates arrive at their conclusions. I want to understand the thought process. I want to understand what, clearly, I am not seeing or understanding.

So, with this in mind….I’ll ask some of them again; hoping for insight and discussion.

Questions I’ve asked of Liberals, from both Democrat and Republican sides, to which I’ve never received an answer:

-       - If the argument FOR abortion is because “it’s a woman’s body”, should late term or partial birth abortions be unrestricted as well?

-       - If the argument FOR abortion is about “viability” of the fetus, should abortion be prohibited after 24 weeks (the current age of survivability of fetuses)?

-      - If men are not permitted to weigh in about abortion "because men don't have a uterus", does that also mean that a person must be black to weigh in on black issues. Does it mean that, because a person is not black, they cannot POSSIBLY understand that, for instance, slavery was wrong?

-       - If a fetus is not human, what, specifically, determines and defines “human”?
o   Can the “inhumanity” of a fetus be demonstrated, scientifically?
o   What, specifically, determines that a fetus is not “human”?

Some related questions:

-       - Is the death penalty a “pro-choice” issue?
o   If not, why not?
o   Is the pro/anti-death penalty argument the same as the pro/anti-abortion argument?
§  If “yes”, why? If “no”….why not?

-       - Does the Fourth Amendment protect child abusers, rapists or spouse-beaters, if the aggressor is in his/her own home?

-       - Why, specifically, was slavery wrong? Detail requested…..rather, required.

-       - Was slavery a “private property rights” (Fifth Amendment) issue? (Slaves were considered “possessions” of their “owners”.)

-       - If the issue of slavery is NOT the same, fundamental, argument as abortion, what, specifically, is different (in its principle)?

Personally, I look forward to the day when Conservatives are blamed for abortion. Because it will mean that this horrific court-written legislation will be a thing of the past; having been ended by…..Conservatives.

THE MISSION


The mission from January 20th, ongoing…
An open letter to Conservatives

Conservatives,
-       If you are thinking that the remarkable level of apoplexy being shown by Liberals is going to die down…
-       If you think that the media is going to begin to report news fairly and accurately…
-       If you think that Liberals will be taking a “let’s see how he does” attitude…
-       If you believe that Liberals, ultimately, want a fairer, more equal, more Constitutional America…
-       If you think that hostile rhetoric will tone down after the 20th
-       If you think that Liberals will abandon their history of violence-for-political-gain…
-       If you think that Liberals will abandon violence-to-shut-down-opposition…
-       If you think that, when Trump’s policies begin to work and begin the long process of turning this country into a prosperous, energized one again, Liberals are going to praise and fairly report those successes…
-       If you think that Liberals (SOCIALISTS) are going to suddenly abandon who they’ve shown themselves….CLEARLY….to be over the last year…

I have news for you:

YOU ARE WRONG.

Democrats have ONE goal, where America is concerned; and it’s NO different than the historic goal of Democrats: A Socialist America, where the Constitution is no longer the Supreme law of the land and the Bill of Rights is rendered meaningless.

Anyone who represents a threat to that goal is going to be put down….by whatever means necessary. Yes, that includes violence.

So, Conservatives, we have a mission…EVERY SINGLE DAY:

-       Our voices have to be louder; the days of “the silent majority” MUST END.
-       Our quest for the truth in every story must be inexhaustible; we have to dig, constantly, to source information and to be able to actively, LOUDLY, refute the Liberal wall of lies.
-       Our attitude must be one of “NO subject is taboo” in politics, where the future and sanctity of our country is concerned. Silence gains nothing.
-       Our stance must be to be ready to physically protect and defend ourselves, when Liberals resort to violence (which, without question, they will).

In short, our mission MUST be to be prepared to protect and defend The Constitution from ANY and EVERY attack, by whatever means; and to meet those attacks with greater force.

Make NO mistake: the greatest threat we face in America, in terms of loss of freedom, is from within; and comes from the Left.

If we cannot….or WILL not…..do these things, then we will lose this country to Socialism.

Nearly 250 years of men and women fighting, many of those paying the ultimate price for our freedom. Nearly 250 years of struggling for true, Constitutional equality. Nearly 250 years of scientific advancement, technological advancement, medical advancement. Nearly 250 years of taking on the role of “cop on the corner”. Nearly 250 years of, in spite of all our problems, remaining that shining star, guiding the world to a better place. Nearly 250 years of defending the oppressed from the wolves. Nearly 250 years of building the greatest society in the history of mankind….


….will it end, because WE, Conservatives, decided that it wasn’t worth the fight?

Gerrymandering

What’s the old song? “When will they ever learn?”
Evidently…..never. “Never” is when they’ll learn.

(And by “they”, I mean Democrats, Republicans…..AND VOTERS.)

Democrats are suddenly hot and bothered by gerrymandering. In fact, Obama, Dems and Eric Holder are meeting, in order to try to stop this astonishingly horrible thing.


Where I COMPLETELY agree is that gerrymandering needs to stop. But, what Obama, Dems and Holder will do is work NOT to stop gerrymandering, but rather to stop REPUBLICAN gerrymandering. (BTW, Republicans would do EXACTLY the same thing).

Does anyone see what this will accomplish? (Answer: NOTHING)

Gerrymandering is, ultimately, beloved by BOTH sides, since it sets up Congressional districts that pick and choose constituents; all in an effort to ensure incumbency. (Nancy Pelosi’s “square donut” district, as example)

Voters, who seem unwilling to put the country before themselves, COULD demand an end to gerrymandering (which, BTW, would be a VERY effective alternative to Congressional term limits). Districts COULD be set up as a grid of varying sizes of squares, based on population density. Easily done, but while voters sit around, waiting for the angels in government to put the country before THEMselves (which, BTW, will NEVER happen), our Congress critters gerrymander away, creating ever more secure seats.

Voters: YOU CAN DEMAND AN END TO GERRYMANDERING.


Step one: DEMAND AN END TO GERRYMANDERING…..ALL GERRYMANDERING.

"FAKE NEWS"

Ever stop to wonder why the current darling of the Left (other than Trump) is "fake news"?

Something that pretty much didn't exist before November 8th is now in nearly EVERY conversation.

Why?

The answer is simple:

"Fake news" will be the scapegoat for every...EVERY...story that makes the Left look bad (as most accurately reported, thoroughly researched stories do).

(You see, the leaders on the Left know that most people don't bother to research news stories and, IF they do, limited that research to "fact check" sites. So, they know that the mere mention that a story is "fake news", those lazy folks will accept it, internalize it, and forever believe it.)

This is how Socialism works.

MY PERSONAL HOPES FOR 2017 (and beyond)

I hope, with all my heart, that 2017 is the year that Americans become more aware of the goings-on in our government.

I hope that 2017 is the year that Americans END the years of complacency, willful ignorance and non-participation that brought us EXACTLY the government we have today.

I hope that 2017 sees a new respect for our founding documents, holding those we elect to account for EVERY decision they make that might attack the sanctity of those documents.

I hope that 2017 sees a level of activism that forces our government into their Constitutional place: as servants of the people, rather than lords over them.

I hope that 2017 sees the fulfillment of Dr. Martin Luther King's vision of true, ACTUAL equality, where a person is not judged by the "...color of their skin...", but rather "...the content of their character."

I hope that 2017 sees a new "Emancipation Proclamation"; this time, to recognize the unborn as worthy of being recognized as "human".

I hope that 2017 sees the recognition that the Bill of Rights grants NO rights; rather, it merely recognizes rights which exist irrespective of Government, and which Government may not take away.

I hope that 2017 sees the recognition that The Constitution defines the structure and duties of our Government.....ONLY; and the Bill of Rights restricts Government's reach.
