But, it DID bring up an issue that, I believe, needs some clarification. The LEFT, however, would like to see this NOT happen....

But, again, "American Atheists" AREN'T atheists.
They are ANTI-theists.
Their mission is to DESTROY the very notion of God.
This is what gives them away, revealing them for what they are: MARXISTS. Atheism, for them, is as much a political ideology as Liberalism, Progressivism, Socialism or Marxism.

A TRUE atheist wouldn't CARE how others, or in what others, believe. Atheism would merely be their personal belief.

There are two? kinds of cowards in Arizona right now.....

The first kind of coward, the collection of business owners fearing a state boycott and, in doing so, have decided that money is more important than the First Amendment (specifically, religious freedom).
The second....possible (cuz the decision hasn't been made yet)...coward is Jan Brewer who, IF she vetoes the Bill, ALSO chooses money over religious freedom.
Let's be clear about a couple things, folks:
- This ISN'T a civil rights issue, unless there will ALSO be a ban on "no shirt, no shoes, no service" and "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" signs. This law, if vetoed, will simply mean that if you are a business owner, it will be illegal for you to refuse service to ANYONE, for ANY REASON. (It'll be fun to watch a 600lb morbidly obese man, wearing only a thong with a 'sexual device' strapped to it, walk into a "Chuck-e-cheez" and get in line to place an order......)
- This is NOT a human rights issue, since, to date, there is no conclusive evidence that homosexuality has genetic origin. (Might that change? Of course. However.....). Homosexuality, currently, is a behavioral choice.
Folks, this is an easy one to understand, given the facts.
This is a question of "which is more important: money or religious freedom as defined by The First Amendment?".
Or, if you'd rather: "which is more important: money or principle?"

Interesting idea; wrong way to go about it. Breaking up California WON'T fix it's problems. And, your assertion that California is "ungovernable" couldn't be more wrong. With it's level of diversity, it is puny in comparison to the diversity of the US. Yet, the US is "governable", isn't it?
California's problems are two-fold:
1. At the state level, it's COMPLETELY controlled by Democrats, who F*** up EVERYTHING they touch. They have managed to run California into the ground; which is no small feat.
2. At the national level, California's problem is electoral. The "winner-take-all" electoral system disenfranchises nearly HALF of California's voters.
So, rather than break California into six "states", FAR better (and more result-based) solutions are:
- Elect CONSERVATIVES to state offices, including Governor (look at EVERY state in the US....where there's a Republican Governor and legislature, there is prosperity).

Interesting idea; wrong way to go about it. Breaking up California WON'T fix it's problems. And, your assertion that California is "ungovernable" couldn't be more wrong. With it's level of diversity, it is puny in comparison to the diversity of the US. Yet, the US is "governable", isn't it?
California's problems are two-fold:
1. At the state level, it's COMPLETELY controlled by Democrats, who F*** up EVERYTHING they touch. They have managed to run California into the ground; which is no small feat.
2. At the national level, California's problem is electoral. The "winner-take-all" electoral system disenfranchises nearly HALF of California's voters.
So, rather than break California into six "states", FAR better (and more result-based) solutions are:
- Elect CONSERVATIVES to state offices, including Governor (look at EVERY state in the US....where there's a Republican Governor and legislature, there is prosperity).

Is there NO LIMIT to his stupidity?
My God....Obama is an IDIOT.
True, true.....in terms of scale, it just means that he's a garden-variety Democrat, but GEEEEEEZZZZ!

So......in response to Darnell Summers' "I got moved to part-time...." (because of Obama), Obama suggests that Governors should increase minimum wage.
A couple points:
- As recent history teaches (thank you, Nancy Pelosi), when minimum wage goes up, unemployment follows.....IMMEDIATELY.
- REMEMBER THESE WORDS: "So far, at least, we have not seen support from Republicans for such a move". Obama, taking the opportunity to attempt a swipe at Republicans, ends up saying what SHOULD become the anthem for 2014, 2016 and beyond. As noted above (repeated with PERFECT consistency throughout history), unemployment increases along with minimum wage. So....IF Democrats are, again, successful at increasing minimum wage, unemployment will increase...drastically. In this scenario, Republicans should be quoting Obama CONSTANTLY.
The bottom line: IF YOU HAVE YOUR JOB, THANK (AND VOTE FOR) A REPUBLICAN.
