Some thoughts on the election......

The media is in full spin mode.

I think that no rational person was particularly surprised at Tuesday's outcome. (unless, of course, you watch the mainstream media)...

I think that EVERYONE was surprised at just HOW LARGE a shellacking the Democrats took yesterday. But we're not going to see a Bush-era "we got whooped!" level of candor from the Democrats. It'll be "statistical", "not unusual", "an average mid-term". (Of course, they HAVE to say this, in order to spare their very frail and fragile supporters from apoplexy, self-medication and extra therapy sessions).

And, Republicans won't be gloating. Happy, yes. Gloating, no. Remember, historically it's the Democrats who are as sore at winning as they are at losing. Bitter, hostile.....no matter the outcome.

Let's be clear, right now:

This election was not so much a repudiation of Obama. Nope.

This election was a CLEAR rejection of Socialism and Socialist policies.

And, this election proved something else (in my opinion, the most important point):

As long as Americans are vigilant and willing to fight, Socialism will NEVER, EVER be the governing policy of this great nation! That was demonstrated on Tuesday. And, it MUST be demonstrated continually!

- Biggest idiots of the night:
              1. Maness (LA). This Tea Party candidate has now forced a December runoff. It will be costly and may very well hand Louisiana back to Democrats. A note to Maness and those who voted for him: evidently, you prefer a Democrat win. Idiots.
              2. The New Hampshire GOP; for nominating Scott Brown. RINOs lose, folks. And Brown has proven himself a RINO at best; a garden variety Liberal in reality. Idiots.
              3. Robert Sarvis (Virginia). Libertarian candidate who CLEARLY wanted a Democrat to win, since, in that VERY tight race, he took 2-1/2 points away from Ed Gillespie. Moron.

- So far, the tally is: Senate seats (Republicans +7), Governors (Republicans +3), House seats (Republicans +13).

- Noteworthy:
     - Pro-gun-control candidates got their asses handed to them.
     - Pro-life candidates won BIG!
     - Sandra Fluke lost....BIG.
     - Reid got his ass handed his walking papers (of course, NOW he wants to "work together").

Really? If that were true, then it must also be true that being required to provide ID ALSO scares folks away from taking a flight, driving a car, cashing a check, opening a bank account, paying with a credit card, buying a home, buying a car, buying nearly ANYTHING, etc etc etc.

Bo, the truth is that the ONLY people NEGATIVELY affected by voter ID laws are.....CRIMINALS and ILLEGALS.


Folks, there are only TWO means by which our Constitution can be truly protected; the vote and the Second Amendment.

Women, who overwhelmingly support Democrats, support a party who ACTIVELY prevents safe and sanitary conditions at abortion clinics. This is a party that also actively denied women's right to vote. Amazing.

The youth. Overwhelmingly support Democrats. Yet, under Democrat control, teens have the highest unemployment rates of ANY age group (over 50%!!!). Unbelievable!

Like I say.....ALL THE TIME:

Strategy

Yes, this election is YOUR chance to think....and ACT....strategically.

Republicans are going to need EVERY vote from EVERY eligible voter (especially since the Democrats' votes will largely be a) illegals, b) dead, d) multiple and/or d) felons, the honest citizenry will have to win with overwhelming turnout.

I, personally, penned a letter to Michele, the Mayor, the rest of the City Council, the Governor, the media....well, pretty much everyone on the planet...exposing Martinez and citing federal and state laws, along with an exploratory paper from the state, determining that her actions were illegal and would set up circumstances which would greatly damage our city.

Shortly thereafter, she abandoned the idea.......well, at least she kept quiet about it (I'll bet my salary that, when the opportunity presents itself, she be back on it...).

But the issue I have with Michele's push for sanctuary city was/IS this:

The people MOST negatively affected, should such a thing happen, ARE HER OWN CONSTITUENTS (LEGAL immigrants)! A sanctuary city would bring in droves of illegals, and those illegals would take jobs away from those who are here legally.

I find it shameful that Michele shows no concern, whatsoever, for those who support, and depend, on her.

So, this November, I'd ask that you take a look at voting in people who WILL support the people of Santa Ana.

Me? I'm going to be voting for Mirna Velasquez (http://www.mirnavelasquez.com/). She's running against Michele Martinez and, by the looks of it, will be a FAR better choice for City Council.

Velasquez is passionate, not afraid of work and fearless in the face of opposition (those who know her now EXACTLY what I'm talking about).

Martinez, despite all her rhetoric, has abandoned her own constituents in pursuit of her own agenda.

This, they view as a win. And, I suppose, it is, in a way. If SCOTUS doesn't hear these cases, then the court tosses the issue back to the states.

And they are right (the Court, that is).

"Gay marriage" ISN'T a Constitutional issue.

"Gay marriage" is a DEFINITIONAL issue.

Just as DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) was struck down, "gay marriage" also has NO business being debated from a Constitutional standpoint, other than whether it IS or ISN'T a matter of Constitution.

Why?

Simple: "gay" (homosexual, properly) ISN'T a genetic disposition. NO science has concluded that homosexuality is genetic.

In fact, the closest to a genetic issue that homosexuality has is "predisposition".

As in, there MAY BE genes which, if expressed, might predispose a person to be homosexual.

This position, however, is highly speculative and ultimately inconclusive as well.

What HASN'T been demonstrated (to date) is the presence of a "gay gene".

Therefore, based on that inconclusive science, the BEST evidence points to a POSSIBLE genetic predisposition. ONLY.

Put in context, this is the same realm as drug addiction (also a probable genetic predisposition).

So, in ACTUAL reality, and based on ALL current, REAL, evidence, homosexuality is a behavioral choice.

A BEHAVIORAL CHOICE. period.

THIS is why the SCOTUS won't hear these cases. And they are right.

Homosexuals love to portray themselves as the new "black" or "woman", from a rights perspective.

This is a lie. Or, at best, a misunderstanding of the actual facts.

So, what the SCOTUS ACTUALLY said was EXACTLY this:

"Gay marriage" has nothing to do with the Constitution.

Same goes for ANY marriage issue.

"Gay marriage" is a definitional problem, since marriage is VERY specifically defined throughout history. And, although there have been cultures and people who have attempted to change that definition, marriage remains marriage; a legal union binding one man to one woman.

No amount of legislation or activism will EVER change this.

A couple "411"s to the "peace at any price" Democrats (and Liberal Republicans):

1. "No war for oil"? How did you get to the demonstration? What are you wearing? Own any CD's, iPods, cell phones? Use electricity at your commune? Fly anywhere? Drive anywhere?
Before you protest America's protection of our oil sources, go ahead an live without oil or oil products for a while. Until then, you'd BETTER understand that oil IS a matter of National Security and, therefore, must be protected.

That said, does it make sense to explore alternate energy sources? Of course! Every Republican President, in their budgets, calls for a balanced energy portfolio. Understand? BALANCED. In other words: explore and develop alternate energy sources, but NOT at the expense of oil. (Find a Democrat who feels the same......good luck).

2. Liberals tend to only protest "war" when a Republican is in the White House. Right now is a perfect example: Obama has expanded our efforts in Afghanistan and is now ramping up Iraq. Any word from the peaceniks? Pretty much nope.

3. "If War Is The Answer We're Asking The Wrong Question". Probably my favorite from these idiots. And, in a sense, they ARE right, since the question THEY ask is "war or peace?". That ISN'T the right question. The RIGHT question is "war or something FAR worse than war?". Unless you like captivity, the answer IS "war".

4. Now, let's take a little look at history....
The Liberals who protest war, while they HATE Republican Presidents, always....ALWAYS....vote for Democrats. ALWAYS. Yet, under which Presidencies did America become involved in these:

- WWI?
- WWII?
- Korea?
- Vietnam?

Answer: DEMOCRATS.

So you see, peaceniks, war is a potential reality, irrespective of Presidency and, in fact, the greatest conflict in modern times have, more often then not, had a Democrat at the helm. So, if you REALLY hate war, you'd be LESS likely to have to deal with this horrible alternative with a Republican in the Oval Office.

Crystal ball?  Sort of, but MY crystal ball sees the past.

And here's what it sees:

In the 1980 general elections, Jimmy Carter (the SECOND worst President in US history...and an extremist Liberal) was up against Ronald Reagan.

As the incumbent, Carter had the clear advantage (incumbents always do).

In addition, the press, of course, was as the press is now: Liberal to the extreme, which meant that they did EVERYTHING they could to prop up Carter and expended equal or greater amounts of efforts in burying Reagan (this is how it STILL works today).

Yet, Reagan, who campaigned as a STAUNCH, UNAPOLOGETIC Conservative, took 489 electoral votes to Carter's 49.

Arguably, it was the clearest mandate in US election history.

THEN, in 1984, AFTER Reagan PROVED that he was, in fact, a staunch, unapologetic Conservative, he went head to head with team Mondale/Ferraro (extremist Liberals, again).

That election resulted in Reagan taking 525 electoral votes, to Mondale's....15.

THE clearest mandate in US election history.

Was it because Reagan was a Moderate? No.

It was because he was a Conservative; first he campaigned as one, then he PROVED it.

In 2016, Republicans will nominate a candidate to run in an open election.

Make NO mistakes: Democrats will nominate an extremist Liberal: Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Jerry Brown or Gabby Giffords (those are my likely guesses).

If the GOP nominates a "moderate", the Democrats will win.....either way.

The ONLY hope that Republicans have to win in 2016 (and, BTW, begin the process of moving AWAY from Socialism) will be to nominate a SOLID, STAUNCH, UNAPOLOGETIC Conservative.

Mark my words: if the GOP nominates a "moderate", they will LOSE the election, no matter HOW bad the Democrat candidate is.

The choice is YOURS, folks.

If you choose to sit this one out, or NOT educate others, or be an activist at SOME level: YOU effectively vote for Socialism.

Global Warming? Climate Change?

Elections MUST be coming up....

"Global warming" and "climate change" are dominating the news these days. Goofballs like Bob Beckel (at the behest of the DNC) is even screeching that global warming is a greater issue than ISIS.

Seriously....he said that. And he's not alone! It's now becoming one the mandatory talking points of Socialists....sorry, I meant Democrats...in America.

So, let's talk about "global warming" and "climate change".

The fundamental argument is NOT whether the Earth's climate is changing, even though Democrats would have you believe this.

NEWS FLASH: The Earth's climate changes CONSTANTLY. And, throughout history, has swung drastically in the direction of warming AND cooling. (It's typically about a 15,000 year cycle, with 1500 year minor swings....).

What the "global warming", now "climate change", cult would have you believe is that HUMANS are responsible for global warming....now "climate change". It's our modernization and reliance on oil that have choked the atmosphere with carbon dioxide. Where oil isn't sufficient, everything from cows to termites are blamed (again, humans eat lots of cows, then build structures of wood which are eaten by termites....).

My God, the damage that humans have done! We, certainly, are killing our Mother-Earth.

So, let's make some common sense points and ask some common sense questions....

1. If, as Al Gore says ad-nauseum, the "...science of Global Warming is settled!", why did the phrase move from "global warming" to "climate change"? (hint: global mean temperatures have fallen over the last 14 or so years)

2. Why is water vapor (by FAR, the most abundant greenhouse gas) almost NEVER included in global warming studies? (hint: read this: http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/greenhouse_data.html)

3. Why has nearly ALL data, showing that global warming.....man-made global warming...either manipulated or suppressed?  http://www.naturalnews.com/045695_global_warming_fabricated_data_scientific_fraud.html

4. When you look through time, comparing atmospheric levels of CO2 vs mean temperature, why is it that high levels of CO2 tend to precede cooling periods? And, how did this even happen, since there was no industry and not many....or any...humans on earth?

BUT, HOW CAN THIS BE? Democrats claim that man-made high levels of atmospheric CO2 is heating the earth. If that is the case, how CAN the Earth be cooling?

6. How is it that scientists who predict, with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY, where the planet's climate will be in 5, 10, 100+ years, cannot predict, with certainty, what the local weather will be like tomorrow?

These are just a few of the oddities, un-addressable by Democrats and other "climate change" worshippers.

Bottom line?

Is "climate change" happening? YES! It always has, since the Earth was formed.

Are humans responsible? NO! Period.

Why are Democrats pushing "climate change"? Easy: it's all about money and power. Convince the weak-minded that humans are responsible for "climate change", and you can tax and regulate them at will; thus increasing Government control of every aspect of your lives.

This isn't so much about the difference between President Bush and Obama.

Rather, this is about the difference between Republicans and Democrats.

So, American voters (the ones who vote "D"), when you vote for someone because that person is promising to stick it to the rich, you are, in fact, sticking it to yourself! And, you're sticking it to the poor.

If you, American voter, REALLY want to improve the fiscal lives and health of the poor and middle class, then improve their buying power. And the ONLY way to do that is to lower taxes across the board.

Lowering taxes does two HUGE things (not the only things, but these are two biggies):

1. Lower taxes effectively increase YOUR wages, since you keep more of your hard-earned money.
2. Lower taxes LOWERS PRICES for goods and services......which increase your wages EVEN FURTHER!

Democrats KNOW, for fact, that you aren't going to do the research. They are banking on it. And, for many years, they've been exactly right.

PLEASE. I implore you.......pass this around. Educate people. Go head to head with Liberals (it's really ok to do that).

The Ferguson aftermath

Based on what evidence has been released so far, it looks rather like it'll go down as a justifiable shooting; exonerating the white cop.

Of course, there's no way to tell if ALL evidence has been released (it probably hasn't), so, ultimately, we must wait until the investigation is complete.....something Democrats NEVER do.

The cop will remain brutally beaten.
He will also be living under constant death threats. Forever.

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton will shake down the local police and local white groups, extorting tons of money from them.

Residents of Ferguson whose houses and businesses were looted and burned and otherwise destroyed will go broke, trying to pick up the pieces.

Eric Holder will go back to Washington, securing his, and Obama's, role as core, fundamental racists.

No one will "win" in Ferguson.

One young man dead and a cop's life ruined.

Suppose America decides to change the definition of....abortion?

BACKGROUND

Most folks probably don't think much about how, exactly, charitable deductions work; either on taxes or in the real world.

There are any number of sites on the 'net which demonstrate, essentially, that $100 in charitable donations DON'T equate to $100 saved in taxes. In truth, charitable donations, for the sake of a tax deduction, are nearly worthless. (Let's be clear.....this is NOT to say that charitable giving is worthless!)

Similarly, most folks don't think about the EFFICIENCY of money through either charities or the Government.

Folks should.

They REALLY should.

It rates charities by their efficient (or inefficient) use of money. In other words, it compares the percentage of each dollar taken in by a charity which ACTUALLY goes to the intended beneficiary (as opposed to which percentage is lost in costs and overhead of the charitable organization). By their standard, a charity that operates at better than 60% (60% of each dollar goes to the intended beneficiary), is a good charity. Obviously, the higher the efficiency rate, the better the charity, since a greater part of each dollar goes to the intended beneficiary.

The question, then, is "at what efficiency does our Government operate?"

Through the years, in many articles and research papers read, the efficiency rate of the Government is around 20%. I've seen it as high as 25%, but the overwhelming majority of reports I've read place it at below 10%. So, in order to be as fair as possible, I'll lean toward the higher efficiency.

But even as such.....even at DOUBLE, 40%.....the government would STILL be a lousy charity.

(BTW.....get used to using this percentage EVERY time you hear about the Government spending money. For instance, if they say that "$2 billion is being spent on..." whatever charity, understand that that $2 billion dollars equates to $10 billion in collected taxes. Just take whatever number they give you, multiply by FIVE, and you'll have an idea of how many tax dollars they had to collect in order to provide that number. THAT.....is how INEFFICIENT your Government is. And it's not just OUR Government, it's "government" that is inefficient).

TAX PROPOSAL

Here's how to a) VASTLY increase the effectiveness of charitable dollars and b) reduce your tax burden....so that you can greatly increase the strength of the private sector economy:

Create a "pure deduction" for charitable giving.

Here's how it works (I'm not using exact numbers. ONLY THE CONCEPT IS IMPORTANT):

Let's say you make $100,000.00 (taxable). So, let's say that you owe the government $35,000.00 in taxes.

And, let's say that your charitable donations totaled $10,000.00 for that tax year.

(In the current tax structure, you'd lower your income by $10k, making your taxable income $90,000.00.....which would change your 'owe' to the Government $31,500.00, a difference of $3,500.00, if you donated nothing to charity)

In this "pure deduction", your total tax burden, $35,000.00, would be reduced by YOUR TOTAL CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTION, or $10,000.00, making your 'owe' to the Government $25,000.00.

This would do two primary things:

1. Driver HUGE amounts OF VERY EFFICIENT dollars into charities.
2. Allow you to keep more of your hard-earned money, which you would very likely put right back into the economy, thus stimulating it greatly!!!

WHY IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN

This plan will NEVER happen for one reason and one reason only:

IT WOULD DEFUND AND DE-POWER THE GOVERNMENT. And they will NEVER willing allow this. NEVER.

My first comment is:

So what?

Is a President supposed to drop everything and run to the White House at every piece of news, no matter how bad? If he does, doesn't that make him look rather weak? And doesn't it show that he has no faith in the people he has working for him?

Yes.

Presidents are supposed to be Presidential. They are supposed to ACT Presidential, ESPECIALLY in times of crisis.

It calms the nations.

It projects a " you don't matter that much" message to our enemies.

A competent President has a team of advisors and officials in Washington who handle these crises and prepare whatever is necessary to brief the President, upon his return, and guide him to make competent decisions regarding whatever crisis.

So, under "normal" crises circumstances, I'd say that Obama is doing EXACTLY the right thing:

Looking and acting Presidential.

My second comment, now that the first comment has been made, is:

The PROBLEM with this, or ANY OTHER DEMOCRAT, President is two-fold:

1. This President hasn't a CLUE as to what's going on; at least, not until he reads it in the Huffington Post. And even if he WAS clued in, he wouldn't make a decision.....because he is incapable of making decisions. He is VERY much "Nero"; fiddling while Rome burns.

2. While this President is trying to act Presidential, he has to rely on his Cabinet and advisors to handle things. The problem is: That Cabinet and those advisors are even DUMBER than Obama (if that is even possible). They are academics, who've never actually done anything in the real world; only in the theoretical one. Someone needs to explain to the President that there is a difference between "Presidential" and "clueless"; unless, of course, you are talking about a Democrat.
