Election 2018


The 2018 midterms are quickly approaching, so it’s time for some perspective…

In the 2016 election cycle, the mostly laughed-at Donald Trump, again, threw his hat into the ring. No one in the media took him seriously and, indeed, there wasn’t much TO take seriously. Here was a guy who had declared himself a candidate in past elections, and was always…. ALWAYS …. eliminated quickly. He had no political experience, he was well known for his reality show and, frankly, carried as much weight as Pat Paulson. He was running against a raft of political professionals in his own Party: Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, just to name a few. Additionally, both Hillary Clinton and Socialist/Independent/“Democratic Socialist” Bernie Sanders were in the race. By ANY measure, the odds were stacked against him.

Then, the unthinkable happened: Trump garnered enough primary wins to become the Republican nominee. On the other side, Hillary secured the nomination for the Democrat Party. From that very moment, Clinton was considered a shoo-in. In fact, several pundits gave her a 100% chance of winning the election.

100%.

Throughout the campaign season, polls were never ….. NOT ONCE … in Trump’s favor and, if chances for Clinton’s win COULD get higher than 100%, they would have. 2016, to quote the “experts” was going to be a Hillary slam dunk. A rout. A landslide.

But there was one thing the pundits didn’t count on: the American voters. YOU.

YOU, the voters, took it upon yourselves to self-educate on the issues. You did your research, wading through unimaginable amounts of information, some good, some bad, available on the internet. You read your history, you looked at the data, the facts and the stats. You took nothing for granted and questioned everything. And, while the media focused on Trump’s failures and shortcomings, you focused on a more balanced view:

-       - Yes, Trump has experienced failures in his business dealings throughout his career. But no pundit bothered to consider that NO famous person, from athlete to business executive to movie star, has ever claimed “no failures, ever”. In fact, in recalling their failures, ALL successful people point TO those failures as powerful lessons, critical to their success.

-       - Yes, Trump has said and done some remarkably stupid things, for which there is no excuse. But neither have stupid things said been destroyer of the likes of Hillary, Bill, Biden, Warren, Rangel, Pelosi, Reid…..or nearly ANY other Democrat. And, taken thus, amounted to a meaningless, often hypocritical, point.

-       - Yes, Trump had no experience in the political arena. But political experience didn’t make ANY other politician a person better suited for office. In fact, “political experience” got us where we were in 2016, with out of control debt, consumer confidence abysmal, horrific unemployment numbers for blacks, women and teens, etc. And, Trump, WITHOUT political experience, beat out ALL other politically experienced Republicans in the race to the Presidency.

-       - Yes, Trump had no experience in world politics. Yet, he regularly dealt with the major players, including government officials all over the world and was, somehow, able to strike deals.

What Trump was turning out to be was….a businessman and a strategist. A CEO, known for taking failing companies and turning them around. And let’s, right now, get something VERY clear: America is a business; a $3+ TRILLION business. Who better to handle the biggest business in the world than a Chief Executive used to handling huge businesses?

So, while not all Republicans began supporting him, many Americans did; YOU did. And you steadfastly refused to kow to the breathtaking amount of negativity from the media and the Left. In fact, the 2016 election saw a match up between many “Republicans”, Democrats, “Independents”, Socialists and the media...against YOU.

I cannot stress enough how important not only were your efforts to self-educate, but you did something not seen in MANY years: you got ACTIVE. You engaged the media. You engaged the opposition. You committed yourselves to the fight for our country and our Constitution. Trump’s numbers in social media platforms FAR outweighed Hillary’s. To me, it was a clear indicator that Trump had serious momentum. And the media ignored it, relying, instead, on conventional polling data.

Meanwhile, right up until and including November 8th, Hillary was favored to win with a 95% chance; so, in the media’s opinion, Trump had “gained” five points, throughout the entire election season.

Five points.

Election day came and the exit polls, as they do in nearly every election, had the Democrat, Hillary, winning in a landslide. But even with those early returns and exit polls, you went out and voted.

And, as the day and night burned on, Trump … YOU … began to win.

I recall sitting in my favorite cigar lounge, watching the returns. As the clock approached 3:00pm, I commented that, if Trump takes Florida, he’ll win. In fact, I suggested that if he took Florida, he’d more than likely run the table (Pennsylvania, Michigan and either Minnesota or Wisconsin).

And he did.

Because of YOU.

I also recall, in early November, Facebook postings started running to the “thank God it’s OVER” memes and comments; to which I responded (as I usually do, every post-election) “No……the fight is just beginning.” And, further commented that that attitude (“TGIO”) was WHY Americans believe they have no say in politics. We vote, then go back to sleep, assuming that those we elect are going to do what they promise. They don’t. In fact, the moment they win is the moment THEY become their own primary interest. And, yes, that’s ALL politicians.

Now, we will be voting in the midterms. Statistically, the Republican Party SHOULD lose up to 40 seats in the House and 6-7 seats in the Senate (average of losses for Party in Executive Office). Anything LESS than that must be considered to be a strong vindication of Trump’s performance, while losing MORE would be a clear repudiation.

Right now, I see what I believe to be clear indicators that there exists NO “blue wave” happening:

-       - Social media, again, is extremely active. YOU are engaging.

-       - With nearly ALL mainstream media outlets, Hollywood, entertainers (Maher, Colbert, The View, etc) reporting nearly 100% anti-Trump, generic polls have Democrats ahead by only 12 points. (In the run up to 2016, polls in October had Clinton ahead by around 8 points, and showed Clinton trending up, pulling away, in early November). (Are we home free? Not by a LONG shot. We have MUCH more work to do, folks).

-       - Yesterday, it was reported (Gallup) that Democrats have slid 6 points this year in the “women” vote and are now TRAILING with the “middle class” vote.

-       - Republican favorability is the highest in nineteen years, while Democrats favorability has dropped a point.

-       - Consumer confidence is at an eighteen-year high.

-       - Trump’s favorability is rising with both black and Hispanic voters.

-       - According to “RealClearPolitics”, Trump is trending UP with gays and millennials.

Let’s be clear about something: while NOT a sure thing, what is happening right now is because of YOU. You, in continuing to fight, are protecting President Trump, who has gone a LONG way to fulfilling his campaign promises….with CLEAR, positive results.

YOU are protecting our Constitution. 

We took a HUGE risk in supporting Trump, a fundamentally unknown entity, and it is paying off. BUT, if we lose either house, we lose our momentum….period. If Democrats take EITHER side of Congress, they will be relentless in their pursuit to undo EVERYTHING that WE have accomplished since the election.

What is at stake?

-       - Your tax breaks (to you, individually, as well as businesses). You’ll not only be paying more, but unemployment will begin to increase dramatically (think 2006, when Democrats took control of Congress). Specifically, blacks, Hispanics, women and teens will be the hardest-hit.

-       - De-regulation. The regulations that have been strangling American businesses will be reinstated.

-       - The judiciary. No longer will Conservative nominations stand a chance.

-       - SCOTUS. Again, NO conservative will be elevated to the highest court (this will have life-long implications). Which, for one thing, means that the more grotesque abuse to human rights since slavery will remain the law of the land. (Slavery was law for over 200 years…)

-       - Consumer confidence will plummet.

-       - Border security. There will be none, as Democrats FIRMLY believe in open borders, without enforcement.

-       - American businesses, who are tentatively growing in confidence, will grind to a halt, sending jobs, once again, overseas.

-       - Foreign policy advances will come to a standstill. (the Koreas, Russia, China, etc).

And these are just a few of the staggering losses we will see, should Democrats take either, or both, houses.

So, I beg of you, as tiring as it may be, DO NOT relax. It is for SURE that Democrats won’t. And, not to put too fine a point on it: if Democrats win, SOCIALISM wins. And Socialism is as relentless as cancer.

And that cancer will kill our Constitution.

THE inconvenient truth.

-       For some seventy years, our children have been taught to disrespect authority; whatever the form. Government, police, teachers, bosses, parents…. our children, many of whom are adults now, are brought up in a culture of disrespect and are told that disrespect is a quality to be admired.

-       Madonna, Che Guevara, Miley Cyrus, “Chelsea” Manning……our children are told that these people are heroes. HEROES. The previous generations? Bill Ayers, Timothy Leary, Jane Fonda…

-       For some seventy years, our children are told that they can make ANY choice they want, without fear of consequence and without ANY personal responsibility.
o   Want to abuse drugs? No problem….the state will provide the needles.
o   Want to be promiscuous? No problem….if something happens, blame the unborn child, then kill it.
o   Want to kill someone? No problem…..blame your upbringing, blame the gun, blame society. Then, become a cult hero.
And, legislatively, we have set up, in official terms, the release of personal responsibility.

-       For seventy-odd years, we have taught our children that the exercise of their rights is more important than the rights of others. In other words, they can make ANY choice, whether or not that choice violates the rights of others. The greatest example of this is, of course, abortion.

-       For seventy-plus years, there has been a systematic attack on “family”; Welfare, “single motherhood”, “gay” marriage, etc, are all designed to diminish the core unit of a successful society. Without family, core values, morality, respect for others, are absent. Without family, the state becomes the moral compass, the state becomes the teacher of core values, the state becomes “family”.

-       For some seventy years, our children are taught that winning is unfair, that participation is the same as winning and that no one loses.

No family.
No moral compass.
No values.
No personal responsibility.
No consequences.


And, today, we, somehow, cannot fathom how tragedies like Parkland happen.

The New Slavery (A History of Legislated Discrimination)

Note to readers:

You would think that this anniversary would be cause for celebration by Liberals. With each act, within the scope of the law, advocation of “individual, fundamental freedoms” and a triumph of “Women’s Rights”.

Yet, 60 MILLION abortions go unheralded, without fanfare,  uncelebrated. Why?

Today, January 22nd, marks the anniversary of “Roe v Wade”: the Federalization of abortion law and wide-open door to the indiscriminate butchering of the most vulnerable in our society.

Happy Anniversary, Liberals. You must be VERY proud…

The New Slavery 

Throughout the history of the United States, pieces of legislation have been drafted in direct violation of the Constitution and the other founding documents. These violations, almost always, come in the form of legislated discrimination. The Constitution itself seemed to support the rationale for some of these laws, which included (but were certainly not limited to) women, blacks (and other non-whites) banned from voting, the legality of slavery, etc.

But, in truth, the Constitution neither legalized nor advocated any of these.

Contrary to what is claimed by Democrats, there is no justification for slavery to be found in the Constitution. But, there is a very important reason for their claim: throughout American history, the greatest proponents and defenders of slavery (and other forms of legislated discrimination) have been…the Democratic Party. Rather, the Constitution merely recognized that slavery was existing law.

The “3/5 Compromise”, as it is called (“…Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including 
those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons”), does not discuss the race, creed, gender, etc, of those to be counted as “3/5 of a person”, directly conflicting with the Liberal claim to the contrary. In fact, it states SPECIFICALLY, that “…the whole Number of free Persons…” were to be counted for taxation and apportionment. This “whole Number” INCLUDED free blacks, living in non-slavery states. In their argument against the relevance of the Constitution, Liberals fail to mention this fact.

With regard to women not having the Right to vote, Liberals glom onto the phrase, stating that “…all MEN are created equal…”. But, in truth, this is like the bible verse, found in Matthew 18:21-22 “Then came Peter unto him and said: Lord, how often shall my brother offend against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times? Jesus said to him: I say not to you, till seven times; but till seventy times seven times.” By similar interpretation, a Liberal should conclude that forgiveness need only happen 490 times. Obviously, this is not the case. Rather, “seven”, in biblical times, referred to an infinite number….Jesus saying that forgiveness must happen an “infinite times infinity” times. So it was in the early days, when “men” referred to ALL people…not just men.

It is therefore no real surprise to know that, even today, Democrats continue to pursue fundamental, legislated discrimination. Variously, issues from “hate crime” legislation and “Affirmative action” to our modern day progressive tax code and embryonic stem cell research and funding comprise merely the latest efforts by Democrats to continue their legacy of Democratically-legislated discrimination, seeking to qualify the citizenry, separating them based on race, creed, gender, gender-identity, stage of life, etc. In the most recent times (since 1973) the primary target of Democrat hostility and discrimination is the unborn and the partially born. In the case of former President, Barack Obama, Senator Barbara Boxer and (shamefully) a few others, this hostility extends to some who are newly-born. (In the remarkable case of Boxer, hostility extends throughout a newborn’s stay in hospital.)

Any way you define it, abortion is The New Slavery.

A LEGACY OF LEGISLATED DISCRIMINATION

Our founding documents (The United States Constitution, Declaration if Independence and Bill of Rights), with regard to “equality”, are VERY clear:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
- The Declaration of Independence

Beyond the fact that the CLEAR intent in these words is to make clear, without question, that these rights are a) “unalienable” (unable to be taken away), b) begin at the moment a person is “created” and c) “endowed by our Creator” (“Creator” with a capital “C”). This statement also makes clear that “happiness” is NOT guaranteed. Rather, the “pursuit of happiness” is guaranteed. This is a critical distinction and lies at the root of not only the equality issue but also the Liberal pathway to legislated inequality.

I know of no one who makes the claim that racism, sexism or homophobia doesn’t exist. They do exist. To deny this truth is to express one’s ignorance of reality. However, whether these “-isms” exist is NOT the relevant issue here. What IS relevant is whether they are “institutional”. By that, I mean legislated.

Throughout the history of legislative action in the United States, laws have served as a reflection of the ideological mix of Congress. Belief in the interpretation that the Constitution guarantees happiness, Liberal ideology requires legislative action which supports and enforces their idea of “equality”, vis-à-vis “happiness”.

TSA PROCEDURES (Discrimination, based on “Right to privacy”)

Although Justice Harry Blackmun, in drafting the “Roe” decision, identified a “Right to privacy” in the Fourth Amendment, Liberals do not, for whatever reason, regard the same Right as applied to body scans and physical pat-downs. As is absolutely consistent with Liberalism, the “Right to privacy” is not equally applied. Rather, “Privacy” is granted to whomever Liberals deem “worthy”. “Privacy”, Liberals contend, in THIS case, is not an “unalienable Right”.

SLAVERY (Discrimination based on ethnicity)

At the time of the writing of the Constitution, slavery was a legally accepted reality in the United States. In today’s terms, it’d be considered “stare decisis” or settled law. The two majority parties at the time, the Democratic Party and the Whig Party, held somewhat differing positions with respect to the issue of slavery; Democrats being staunch supporters and defenders of slavery law, the Whigs somewhat against it (but unwilling to fight the battle to abolish it). (It is a popular Liberal claim that the Constitution legalized slavery. In fact, no such legalization is to be found in the Constitution. In fact, the Constitution simply recognizes the existence of slavery and clarifies it in terms of taxation and apportionment for representation).

HATE CRIME LEGISLATION (Discrimination based on race, gender, etc)

Whether race, religious or gender based, hate crime legislation provides for greater levels of punishment based on the motivation for a particular crime.

With the tragic shooting of a Congresswoman in Arizona, Liberals IMMEDIATELY pushed for special legislation, which would levy heavy penalties to anyone threatening an elected official (never mind that America already has such a law, applicable to ALL: assault).

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION (Discrimination based on race, gender, etc)

The practice of hiring based on race, gender, gender choice, etc, serves to favor one group (minorities, etc) over another (Caucasians).

TAX LAW (Discrimination based on income, gender, marital status, etc)

The United States Constitution provides for the collection of various taxes by Congress (for those who argue that taxation is “unconstitutional”, this simply is not the case). The argument, appropriately, is a) the degree of taxation levied upon the citizenry and b) the discriminatory actions with regard to “who is taxed what”. Liberals choose to favor certain groups (the poor, minorities, etc) over other groups (the wealthy and successful).

THE “SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE” (Discrimination, based on creed)

Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to the Danbury Baptists penned, “…believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State”. Although this specific language is not found in the Constitution, the notion that the Federal Government is forbidden from meddling into a citizen’s personal religion of choice, is: “…Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”. The inspiration for this part of the First Amendment came from Merry Olde England, when the King, having been disallowed his divorce, rejected the Catholic Church and established the Church of England; the official state religion.

According to our Constitution, with respect to religion, the Federal Government has two responsibilities:

- It is specifically forbidden to establish a state religion
- It is specifically forbidden from prohibiting the free exercise of religion

In their relentless pursuit of legislated discrimination, Democrats twist the intent of the first part of this clause (no prayer in public schools or public places, no religious symbols in public places, etc), while ignoring the other.

In public schools, it is against the law to pray. In fact, a student is not even allowed “a moment of silence”, in the event that someone might take offense. Liberals, in defense of this law (wholly written, supported and defended by Liberalism) claim that this law is in keeping with the first part of the establishment law in the First Amendment. The Liberals are wrong; for in fulfilling their interpretation of the first part, they grossly violate the second part, “…or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

THE NEW SLAVERY (Discrimination, based on stage of life)

In 1973, a Supreme Court decision ushered in the latest iteration of Liberalism’s drive to legislate discrimination. Roe v Wade, which became Federal Law in January, 1973, provided Federal legislative protection to any woman choosing to terminate her pregnancy. Although originally constructed with strict limitations with respect to the age of the fetus, the new law disregarded a fetus’ “humanity”, defying 100% of biological and genetic absolutes with regard to the definition of “human”.

To date, approximately 60 MILLION unborn American children have been sacrificed on the altar of Socialism, with no end in sight. In fact, Democrats continue to pursue the expansion of abortion. Just this past week, nearly 200 Democrats voted against “The Born Alive Infant Protection Act”.

Defended now as “settled law”, Liberals claim that Roe CANNOT be overturned. But, as with slavery, history will prove them wrong. Again.

UNDERSTANDING THE MOTIVATION

Upon review of the above-listed examples of a clear history of legislated discrimination by the Democratic Party, one would be right to ask, “Why”? “Why would Democrats…Liberals…Progressives…encourage, protect, defend and generate ever-more…discrimination?

To truly understand the answer, a broader view, encompassing other Liberal agenda items and beliefs, must be taken into account. Specific examples of these include Darwinism (reducing humans to “merely an animal” status, Kelo vs New London decision (2005) which severely reduced the right to private property, etc.

The intent of legislated discrimination is to lessen the value, or render valueless, humanity; to reduce humans to “just a species of animal”, thereby stripping human beings of “unalienable Rights” and removing the notion of a “Creator” from which fundamental Rights derive. After all, when one group, whether classified by race, creed, gender, gender preference, stage in life, etc, is deemed unworthy of equal protection and not “...created equal…endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights…”, then no race, creed, gender, gender-preference, stage in life, etc, is safe from discrimination.

Translation: fundamental, “unalienable Rights”, are endowed at the discretion of Government, not God.

And the battle is FAR from over. Consider current pursuits of Liberal legislators:

- Embryonic stem cell research (and the Federal funding of…). (Discrimination, based on stage of life)
- “The Fairness Doctrine” (Discrimination, based on ideology)
- “Net Neutrality” (Discrimination, based on ideology)

All of these, some enacted into law, create legalized discrimination.

BOTTOM LINE:

Conservatives believe that ALL people are created equal and endowed, by the Creator, with certain unalienable Rights. Therefore, no law, designed by humans, has the ability to supersede the Rights endowed by our Creator.

Liberals, on the other hand, believe that THEY, the Government, may decide which people are considered equal and that THEY, the government, determine who has Rights.

And truly, both these belief systems are held for the same reason.

Both sides KNOW that either EVERYONE is equal (the Conservative view), or NO ONE is (the Liberal view).

The Tax Bill

Now that the tax bill has passed both houses and has been signed by President Trump, I figured that I’d make a few comments…

First: a couple notes.
-       Do not allow the media, or anyone else, to tell you that tax cuts cost the government ANYTHING. They don’t. Tax cuts allow Americans to keep a higher percentage of the money THEY work hard to earn.
-       Tax cuts don’t necessarily mean that employees (private side) get a pay raise. Although this is often cited as an example of how “Trickle down” economics DOESN’T work, it is far from the truth, as it doesn’t consider the whole picture. Two pieces of that whole picture:
o   If a person making $50k/year, for example, is taxed at, say, 25% (net), their effective operating capital is $37,500/year. If that person’s tax rate (net) is cut to, say, 20%, their new effective operating capital becomes $40,000, an INCREASE of $2,500/year (an effective pay raise to around $53.5k/year, taxed at the old…25%...rate).
o   If the price of goods and services REDUCES (because of tax cuts to businesses), the buying power of the dollar INCREASES which, in effect, is also a pay raise.
-       The notion of “tax cuts for the rich” is another lie, intended to mask the truth of how tax cuts improve the economy. The simple truth is that when taxes on businesses increases, they pass those increases directly to consumers. So, increasing taxes of “the rich” and businesses actually ends up increasing the taxes of consumers and make their (consumers’) dollars less powerful.
-       The notion that “tax cuts to the rich” DOESN’T help the poor and middle class……is a lie. Unless those “rich” folks are stuffing mattresses with money, their money is being invested (which finances companies, who invest in equipment and employees). And, with decreases in goods and services, the buying power of the dollar increases, irrespective of income level.

The vote
          It’s VERY important to note that no Democrats…..not a single one…..voted for to approve this tax package. It is important for the very same reason that it continues to be important that ZERO Republicans voted to approve Obamacare; it draws a CLEAR line in the sand, between how Democrats and Republicans view the Federal Government’s role in our lives. Democrats want to consolidate power at the Federal level, Republicans want power consolidated in the citizenry (in private hands, in keeping with the Constitution).
          In addition to the ZERO Democrats, TWELVE Republicans voted NOT to pass the tax package (these gutless pols should be remembered when next they are in campaign mode…):

-       Dana Rohrbacher (CA-48)
-       Darrell Issa (CA-49)
-       Walter Jones (NC-3)
-       Frank LoBiondo (NJ-2)
-       Christopher Smith NJ-4)
-       Leonard Lance (NJ-7)
-       Rodney Freylinghuysen (NJ-11)
-       Lee Zeldin (NY-1)
-       Peter King (NY-2)
-       Dan Donovan (NY-11)
-       John Faso (NY-19)
-       Elise Stefanik (NY-21)

So…….the abject failure of Obamacare is 100% OWNED by Democrats. How the tax bill affects the economy will be 100% owned by those Republicans who voted to approve it.

It CAN’T be clearer than that!

Deficit
-       The first thing that the media and Democrats will point to, as this tax bill goes to work, will be the inevitable increase in the deficit. And, yes, it WILL increase. But, a couple things must be considered:
o   If Congress does nothing about the automatic increases to entitlement spending, and does nothing to spending, in general, the debt will continue to increase in the long term.
o   After an initial increase in deficit, there will follow a decrease (assuming no changes in spending). Why? Because with more money in private hands, revenues will INCREASE (more manufacturing, more employment).
We have some VERY tough fights coming up, because we…..YOU AND ME…..must DEMAND that spending MUST be cut, and cut SEVERELY. And, while that is being done, other tax proposals must be put in place
o   A dollar-for-dollar direct tax reduction on charitable organizations that directly replace entitlements.
o   A near dollar-for-dollar direct tax reduction on ALL charitable giving.
o   A dollar-for-dollar direct tax reduction on foundations established that address health insurance, schooling, etc.
The objective here is to VASTLY increase the effectiveness of money spent on entitlements; specifically, by moving those entitlements from public hands to private hands.

Employment
-       Anyone who pays attention to ONLY U-3 Unemployment Rate misses the bigger picture. That bigger picture MUST include Labor Force Participation Rate. What this tax package will do, in the long term, will be to REDUCE the U-3 Unemployment number while INCREASING the Labor Force Participation Rate (under the last administration, while the media and Democrats touted the overall increase in employment, they failed to take into account the Labor Force Participation Rate which, taken into account, proved to be a net LOSS in employment over eight years).

Buying power (Addressed above).
          Bottom line? When you DECREASE prices of retail goods and services, you INCREASE the buying power of the dollar. So the SAME wage becomes an INCREASE in effective wage.

This tax bill reveals the fundamental difference between Liberal and Conservative philosophies.

Liberals believe that Government should be in control of power, money and the citizenry.  


Conservatives believe that THE PEOPLE should be in control of power and money (as is contemplated in the Founding Documents)….and the government.

WHY DON’T LIBERALS SEEM TO CARE ABOUT DEFICITS AND DEBT?

The only time Liberals seem to care about the REAL costs of a Government program is then that program shows a profit…..which is never.

And the only time Liberals care about debts and deficits is when a Republican sits in the Oval Office. (They holler, but do NOTHING about it)

Does this make ANY sense at all? 

Shouldn’t ALL elected officials pay VERY close attention to America’s balance sheet? Shouldn’t our elected officials consider it “good business” to maintain a budget that, at the very least, is revenue neutral?

Yet, no one in Washington (except, for now, President Trump) seems to care HOW MUCH government spends….using dollars it DOESN’T HAVE.

Well, this used to baffle me, too.

That is, until I started looking at the strategy of it all.

And, yes…..these upside-down programs, debts and deficits are tactics, aimed at accomplishing a specific mission.

Anyone remember how President Reagan brought the Soviet Union down?

Reagan employed two primary weapons against the Soviets: money and democratic opposition groups. While he funded groups inside the USSR, he also forced the Soviets to invest overwhelming amounts of dollars on defense (primarily against the SDI program).

Reagan worked to rot the Soviet Union from its structure, while breaking its financial back.

And it worked.

See that parallel?

That is EXACTLY what has been happening in America, by Liberals on BOTH sides of the aisle.

They are attempting to spend America into oblivion. And, while they do that, they fund separatist groups (think TARP, Planned Parenthood, public unions, etc), who rot America’s foundation.

But, now there is a line being drawn in the sand.

The line? President Trump.

Who drew it?

INDEPENDENCE DAY 2017

THE FOURTH OF JULY, 2017

If you haven’t figured out, by now, that we are in a state of civil war, that our Constitution is under attack, that our freedom and liberty are, at this very moment, in danger of being lost forever, then, my friends, you’d BETTER wake up!

Socialism, for the last 80-or-so years, has quietly crept into our government; undermining our Constitution and the Bill of Rights and insinuating itself into the fabric of every aspect of our society. Adherents move slowly, cautiously, under the guise of “compassion for the needy, the poor and the minority”, and build the framework of a Socialist state; rather, a cage.

The Declaration of Independence, adopted on July 4th, 1776, set in motion the circumstances for what was to become the greatest and freest society in history. We broke with the Crown, becoming a free people who previously were subjects.

That freedom, that liberty, spelled out and memorialized in The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and Bill of Rights, required, from time to time, the sacrifice of patriots, willing to kill and lay down their lives in defense of that shared idea, that shared dream. Wars of words as well as of rounds have kept that shared idea, that dream, alive.

Today, we again are at war. Today, we stand at a crossroad and must decide whether that shared idea is worth defending. Our freedom, our liberty, our future, hang in the balance.

And now, each and every moment, we must decide.

Is freedom worth the fight? Is liberty worth the words? Are our Founding Documents worth preserving, defending even to the death? Do we squander and render meaningless the sacrifice of those who paid the price for us?

Our enemy is Socialism, as well as those who espouse that misguided ideology. Those advocates are relentless in their pursuit. They will never accept defeat. They will never stop. They will never rest until our Founding Documents are relegated to a mere footnote in history.

We have NO choice, if those Founding Documents are to remain relevant. The price for losing or refusing to engage is captivity.

Let this, and every, Fourth of July (indeed, EVERY DAY, with EVERY BREATH) renew our spirit of patriotism. And let us prepare to defend our freedom and liberty with our very lives.

PERSPECTIVE #4

What was the last war won on defense alone?
How about a football game?  Baseball? Basketball? Soccer?

If the answer is “none” (and it IS, BTW), then I have a question:

What makes you think that the fight to preserve our Constitution, the fight to preserve our freedom, our liberty, our NATION, can be won by defense, alone?

Don’t get me wrong: defense is EXTREMELY important. A boxer in the ring can be as strong and fast as any of the greatest, but if he can’t defend himself, he will lose. Period.

Offense AND defense are equals in importance. One cannot win without relative measures of both.

So, I’ll ask:

If we Conservatives spend all our time on the defense, how can we reasonably expect to win this war of ideologies?

To be blunt: we can’t.

I applaud the efforts of so many Americans, who are speaking up, countering lies, getting the truth out. We are engaged, right now, in the fight to preserve our Constitution, our Bill of Rights and our Declaration of Independence; those documents that serve as the foundation for the greatest country in history. Our freedoms, our liberty, our prosperity are rooted in the principles contained within those documents and defended by not only our military forces, but all of us as well.

Defense is not enough.

Be on the attack. ALWAYS advance. Put THEM on the defense.
