Regarding tonight's Veep debate:

Biden strategy:
1. Portray Ryan as "just a numbers guy, without a heart"
2. Come across as "passionate about humanity, while also having command over the issues"

Ryan strategy:
1. Portray Biden as "compassionate guy who has ZERO grasp of the issues"
2. Come across as "passionate about humanity, while also having command over the issues"

As you can see, the battle here, in my estimation, is going to be NOT about the issues themselves, but rather a candidate's personal balance between compassion and command.
